Tanzania Academic and Non-Fiction Writers' Association (TANFWA) with Support from Non-Fiction and Translators Association of Norway (NFF) and International Authors' Forum (IAF) is hosting the 4th Pan African Writers Symposium (PAWS).
"Harnessing New and Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Publishing Industry Development in Africa"
PAWS is a landmark event among authors where trends and concerns in the book and authorship industry are discussed. The five previous PAWS were held in South Africa (2010), Zimbabwe (2012), Kenya (2014), Uganda (2016), Malawi (2018), and South Africa (2023) by the respective Academic and Non-fiction Authors' Associations.
This historical event is expected to be attended by members from the Ministry of Education Science and Technology – URT, Tanzania Institute of Education, Copyright Society of Tanzania (COSOTA), Copyright Society of Zanzibar (COSOZA), Publishers Association of Tanzania (PATA), Book Writers' Associations of Tanzania (UWAVITA), CBOs and NGOs in the country. Expected also to attend are the delegates from UTANA, ANFASA, ZANFAA, MUANA, ZANA, Botswana, Kenya, Rwanda and other countries.
